English Camps

English camps are effective for sharing the Gospel with young people because they provide a natural environment to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds by offering a valuable life skill (a second language). English camps create trust and open doors for deeper conversations about faith, all while fostering a sense of community and shared experience that can be receptive to spiritual messages.

English camps can bring together individuals from different cultures, providing an intercultural platform to share perspectives and experiences, which can be enriched by incorporating spiritual aspects.

English Learning + American Sports + Bible

Breakaway offers a number of prospective partnerships for English learning ministries. We can help you create a youth camp using English learning as the vehicle for community engagement, or staff your existing English camp with experienced English teachers or American sports coaches. Our ministry teams have served with English camps in various cross-cultural settings:

We also have a hybrid model of English camp with the added amenity of American sports (English Learning Camp + Cultural Experience with American Sports Acitivities). This model can be employed to help students practice their English skills while engaging in learning and playing American sports. This “Active” mode of learning and exercising a new language is proven to be more effective than using only the classroom mode.

We can also modify any of the English/sports camp components to fit into other ministry events, such as one day workshops, church events, afterschool activities, weekend retreats, cultural exchange programs, school classes, or other special events. The English learning with American sports ministry model is incredibly flexible, and we can work within your community outreach goals to meet your objectives.
